This year things are going to be different
But I don’t really mean that.
With fingers crossed I could swear that
I’ll lose weight
Call old friends more often
Get a new job
Stop doing bad things
But not even I would believe me and besides
Who wants to spend their whole life
Doing things they don’t like
For people they’re not sure that they love
Like some sort of Sunday afternoon film.
I hope you keep on being disgusting and awkward and stupid and
I promise that I’ll do the same.
